It was the fastest ‘chu char’ record I’ve ever experienced. After we found a table, mum & I walked over to choose our food and to order. In less than 5 minutes…yes…LESS THAN 5 MINUTES, the food were served…piping hot! The food came even faster than Peter, who went to find parking!
So where is this place? It is somewhere opposite the jetty. The ‘chu char’ coffee shop is unique as there is an old tree growing through the roof.

We ordered 5 simple dishes and they did not disappoint us. Although they served us so fast, it still taste so good. Unbelievable!
And they even serve us appetiser. My first experience in a coffee shop!

Total bill including 5 bowls of rice turned out to be RM45. Not bad for 5 dishes + 1 appetiser! :)
Oh I know this place. Used to go there quite often but haven’t been there for a while already…
thats not keropok, its called papadam.fast but food there oily.next time try the steam goldfish.

this place is pretty cheap. use to go there with a bunch of friends rather often. but it’s kinda oily…

ei, i wanna say….. it’s not possible to prepare, cook n serve food within 5mins!!!!!!!!!! i would ask if it was undercooked, but since doesn’t seem to b the case based on photos, either shuyin exaggerating, or their food kinda semi-prepared d (not very good)?

:) it’s true. I think the key success to having these ppl cook fast is that everything is readily chopped and cut. I don’t quite remember how many stove they have, but I think it was like 3-5 perhaps. So once you have ordered, they will get to work. very very quickly. Somehow, it’s possible. :P

i believe the reason they can serve u sooooo fast is bcoz the food has already been prepared…
the last time i went there i noticed dat the meat were all already cooked … they just leave it there n when u order they will just deep fry/cook so that its hot…
but seafood leh..i am not sure.. don think they will precook those kua… :s
but yea the food was nice …
the chu char there for 19milotin liao! food reali gd. used to go there every other wk when i was in pg. service reali fast. that’s why during lunch time there’s always so many ppl.
